My Place first opened in 1981 by Vincent Badder and son Charlie Badder. Vincent and Charlie were residents of Huntington Beach who had in interest in the history of the city of Huntington Beach. Charlie was a firefighter for Santa Ana Fire Department and these influences are still seen in My Place decor today with a large number of historical photographs.Charlie made My Place famous with the $3.95 Steak and Lobster dinner.
